About Us
Welcome
We are pleased to have you visit the Dalby Presbyterian Community site. On behalf of the church community we extend a warm welcome to you. The Dalby Presbyterian Community has been minstering to our area for many years, and has been a spiritual home to many individuals and families. We like to think of ourselves as a family and as a family church.
We have a wide range of activities, programs, and services catering for people of all ages that you can read about using the following links.
| Children's Ministries |
Truth Zone | Youth Ministry | Young Adults | Ladies Bible Studies |
| Coffee Morning |
Craft & Chat | Mothers Of Preschoolers | Deacons | Courses |
Central to all of our programs however, is the desire to let people know about Jesus Christ and how, because of His life, death and resurrection, we can be in a good relationship with God.
The Dalby Presbyterian Community is a Christ-centred church.
We are part of the Presbyterian Church of Queensland & fit within the Reformed & Evangelical streams of the Christian faith. This means that we find documents such as the Westminster Confession & Catechisms helpful. However, we're much more concerned with having a vibrant, living relationship with God through Christ and looking to the Scriptures as our rule in how to live in a way that glorifies God.
We invite you to be part of our community gatherings at 8:30AM, 10:00AM & 5:00PM each Sunday.
NB: During the Christmas School holidays the two morning services merge into one one service that meets at 9:00AM.
All of our gatherings are similar in style and feel. They are all contemporary and you'll notice we dress casually:
no suit and tie needed!
What to expect...
In our gathering we will sing a few songs that express our love for God and speak about how great He is and what He's done for us in sending Jesus Christ. There will be a collection of money that goes toward the running of the local church and to work in Queensland and overseas, but this is only for our regular members and guests are encouraged not to feel obliged to give. We'll speak to God in prayer and we'll have someone read out of His Word, the Bible. Someone, generally one of the pastors, will explain the Bible passage to us and offer practical teaching on how to live it out.
We don't market services to cater for different groups as we believe that the gospel is shown in action when God's people gather in unity regardless of their age, socioeconomic status, or nationality. Both our morning gatherings suit young families as we have a Kids' Spot in the service, a creche and a Sunday School. Sunday@5ive also has child-minding.
It's our prayer that our gatherings help us become more like the community God wants us to be - as we place each other's needs and concerns above our own and seek to encourage one another to wholeheartedly live out our faith in Christ.
For members of the church family who would like to give to support the work of DPC via internet banking or direct deposit the details are provided here.
